A gown inspired from a variety of stories & eras, as were the materials. Empire-waisted with a fall of pleated and gathered silks, a train with a bustle, and the sleeve cap lengthened to dramatic proportions. Embellished with vintage beads, baubles and lace on the front bodice and netting layers in the back, there is no angle from which you will not get a multitude of detail. The idea for this gown began with a scrap of fabric no larger than 12x15" and that is the front bodice piece...the rest began to show itself like pages of a story, deliciously unfolding.
